Mac Tools
on pro tools 6 LE on my mac G4 with OSX - when bouncing i get this - Hard drive isnt a proper playback volume?
i cant bounce my songs on pro tools... it says that if i try to save the file to the MAC HD or the Work disk and also the desktop.
I'm not familiar with Pro Tools or as I've heard some lovingly call it, Pro Trash. 
I use Ardour on Linux myself.

No idea what the actual differences are and I have yet to see any real comparison, but from what I've read it's quite similar besides the fact that Ardour is open source and free. This all means nothing in relation to your problem though.

The answer to your problem may be included in there. On this thread it appears that it's related to an update and drive permissions issue.
