Spray Foam
Non-urea-formaldehyde spray Foam Insulation. Is it dangerous to one's health?
I was considering polyurethane spray foam insulation (the legal and 'safe' kind, not the illegal stuff that has come under controversy lately) for the walls of my house. I was just wondering if there have been reports of any leaching of gases from the foam- especially on a hot day. Some codes do not require Vapor Barrier because the foam does not retain moisture like batts do, so there would be nothing to prevent the chemical fumes from entering the dwelling. Is there any evidence or reports of this?
I dont care how safe they say that crap is - I AINT USING IT! NO WAY! That go's for carpet too.. My whole house is either hardwood or tile.. Say NO to Plastics.. They leach and cause cancer and no I dont have any proof.. I Just know it!
